Random Netflix Movie Night #6

Last nights movie was Identity starting John Cusack, Amanda Peet and Ray Liotta. Made in 2003 this is a perfect movie for Halloween if you want a mysterious thriller. A group of ten strangers are stranded at a desolate Nevada motel when they realize they are slowly being killed off with room keys counting down their murders.

What really makes the intrigue in this movie is when they switch between the Nevada hotel and the mental institution. How are they connected? And who is killing everybody in the hotel?

This movie kept me on the edge of my seat throughout which was an enjoyable change from a lot of the other suspense/horror films out there today. I am pleased to say that I didn’t figure out who the killer was until the end. I like to be surprised and then realize my mistake at not correctly guessing the killer rather than guessing correctly. All of the acting was well done. I wasn’t looking for any superb, stand-out acting job as it is a horror movie and my expectations were fulfilled.

My Rating: 8/10

If you’re looking for a fun and scary movie with some twists and turns then this could be the movie for you.
