Bi-Coastal Personality Disorder on Full Display in Intrepid Theatre’s You Show

Victoria, BC

OK, it might not be an official malady, but uprooted Maritimer, Liz Crocker, believes that trading one coast for the other breeds a special kind of Canadian immigrant experience. Liz will present her monologue about this in a staged reading of The Forerunner as a part of Intrepid Theatre’s The YOU Show series on Saturday, December 7th at 2:00pm.

The script, developed in workshops in Victoria, was mounted as a short work for Theatre Skam’s Bike Ride 2013. The Forerunner is a conversation with Liz’s Nova Scotian, French- Acadian Grandmother about ghosts and place, home and the supernatural. Liz’s Grandmere, has left her a legacy of forerunners and ghost stories. But is that all? Two voices untangle the mysteries. A one woman show, or is it?

More about Liz Crocker

Liz Crocker is principal of Salt Frog, a Victoria based company that provides heritage interpretation and communication services and … wait for it … theatre! Liz was thrilled to present The Nature of the Goose for Theatre Skam’s Bike Ride in 2012. Liz was Ranger Betty, a militant, self-appointed Galloping Goose park ranger. Salt Frog was later asked to remount that production for Victoria’s 150 celebrations.
