Oscars 2014 — Best Director

Aside

The Best Director race seems to be down to Gravity‘s Alfonso Cuaron and 12 Years a Slave‘s Steve McQueen. It’s a first time nomination for both. If Cuaron wins he’ll be the first Latino director to win, and if McQueen wins he’ll be the first black director. Cuaron has been the winner at previous award shows and we think he’ll be the one to win, but don’t count McQueen out yet!

  1. Alfonso Cuaron — “Gravity”
  2. Steve McQueen — “12 Years a Slave”
  3. Martin Scorsese — “The Wolf of Wall Street”
  4. David O. Russell — “American Hustle”
  5. Alexander Payne — “Nebraska”
