The Bachelorette returns for Summer Girls Nights

The Bachelorette returns next Monday, so why not start a girls night tradition! I’ve included a few tips below to help make your viewing party the best it can be!

My Bachelor nights have always been focused on girl talk and making fun of the show. It was always more about getting together with friends than the show, but using my fantasy league allowed us to balance the two pretty well. Make sure you invite people who are keen to watch the same way you are, whether that’s serious, competitive, or making jokes the whole time.

Moscato - from Jillian HarrisNext up, you can’t have a girls night without some great food and drink. My go-to has always been the sweet, bubbly Jacob’s Creek moscato. It’s the perfect light wine for a night with friends. You can also add some frozen berries and some fruit juice to make a little punch, as well.

As for the food, we mixed it up. Usually, we rotate so one person brings the food each week, so it’s less pressure on the host. Once, we had desserts every Monday night. Another time, we rotated with appetizers. Last season, we ordered different take out each week and just split the cost. All of those options have one thing in common: everyone splits the cost and effort. That way, the host isn’t stressed on the night and no one feels like they’re spending more than everyone else.

I also recommend a fantasy league. You can throw a little betting into the mix if your group is a little competitive, or just do the league on its own. Try our Bachelorette Fantasy League — 2018 Becca Edition! My girls and I will normally all bring something on the first night that gets stored away until we “crown” a winner on the last episode. Once, we all brought our favourite specialty chocolate for the winner, another time it was a bottle of wine each, but you can also easily do a cash prize.

And lastly… get comfy! It’s more fun if there’s lots of pillows and blankets, and everyone is in their comfy, relaxation clothes. It’s a girls night, so bring out the nail polish and face masks if you want… Whatever it is that will make this night your perfect evening for some friend-time, go for it!
