Mixed Improv Arts brings the competition to comedy

VTSL’s Mixed Improv Arts follows a different format to the usual improv games—instead of many short games, we get one long-form before intermission and a competing long-form in the second half.

This can be a really fun setup for a show if they pick games that can really sustain for a full 25 minutes of hilarious improv, but unfortunately our first of the night really started to drag halfway through. The second picked right back up and had us laughing non-stop. Although I would have preferred a bigger audience, everyone that showed up was incredibly engaged and provided great suggestions to keep things running smoothly.

MIA plays every Thursday evening at 9:15 p.m. It’s a 17+ show, and to see ticket prices and show length for all shows, click here.
