Touchstone’s fall production, the first of their 2017/18 season, is Happy Place by Pamela Mala Sinha. Touchstone’s Artistic Director Roy Surette makes his Directorial return for the company, supported by a top notch team of designers: Pam Johnson on Set, Christine Reimer on Costumes, Adrian Muir on Lights, with Original Music and Sound Design by Dorothy Dittrich.
As part of Diwali Fest, Brothel #9 comes to The Cultch through November 27. A young woman, Rekha, arrives in Calcutta and discovers she’s been sold to a pimp, Birbal, by her brother-in-law. Touchstone’s first production of the 2016/17 season is Brothel #9 by Anusree Roy. The final directorial offering from Artistic Director Katrina Dunn, the show stars Vancouver native Laara Sadiq in the lead role as Jamuna and rising star Adele Noronha as Rekha.
