Check Out Spooktober at Vancouver TheatreSports™ October 9-31 at The Improv Centre

Aptly named Spooktober, this limited-run seasonal celebration of all things eerie features four different shows for a total of eleven ‘unboolievably’ hilarious weekly performances you’ll be ‘dying’ to see.

VTSL welcomes audiences back to school in raucous Back to School TheatreSports

On now, Vancouver TheatreSports League presents Back to School TheatreSports, the new feature show for September. This series lampoons classroom cliches and creates teams from the cliques you loved and hated. For this show, we had the jocks (Bill Pozzobon, Chris Casillan, Ellen Kennedy) and nerds (Rae Lynn Carson, Denise Jones, and Scott Patey) with a Band Teacher (John Voth) leading our way through.

VTSL pokes fun at Vancouver in summer improv show Avocado Toast

Vancouver is known internationally for its spectacular beauty, friendly citizens, and vibrant multicultural milieu. Beneath the glossy surface lies a complicated and eccentric city ripe for parody. In a series of vignettes, VTSL’s quick-witted improvisers lampoon such local stereotypes as our obsession with fitness (Grouse Grind and yoga, anyone?), quirky neighbourhoods (The Drive, Main St., Kits, Gastown), and foodie scene (coffee culture, craft breweries/distilleries, avocado toast) that have earned Vancouver its ‘Lotus Land’ nickname.
